Emergency medicine jobs with H-1B and J-1 sponsorship on the table don’t show up every day — and this one’s part-time, paying up to $225,000 a year. Chenango Memorial Hospital is putting you in a brand-new ER, a tight-knit Upstate New York community, and a benefits package built for the long haul.

About the Role

Chenango Memorial Hospital, part of the United Health Services network, needs a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physician — or a Family Medicine/Internal Medicine doctor with solid ER experience — for a part-time slot in the Emergency Department. It’s a Mid-Level post, built for someone who already has 6 to 9 years of clinical experience behind them.

Pay runs $180,000 to $225,000 a year for the part-time schedule, and that’s before the sign-on bonus and a separate incentive bonus tied to your performance and patient care numbers. You also get full medical, dental, vision and a solid retirement plan from day one.

You’ll be working out of a brand-new Emergency Room, part of a $110 million campus remodel at UHS Chenango Memorial. That’s not a small upgrade — it’s real investment in the space where you’ll spend your shifts, and in the patients you’ll treat there.

UHS also builds real community into the job — peer recognition, engagement councils, trivia nights and volunteer days that make it feel like an actual team, not just a rotation.

Norwich sits in Chenango County, in New York’s Southern Tier, with four-season outdoor recreation — hiking, kayaking, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing depending on the month. The area’s also home to companies like Chobani and Norwich Pharmaceuticals, plus festivals like the Chenango Blues Fest and the county fair.
