Oral Surgeon
Full-time role with Mortenson Dental Partners – West 10th Dental Group, Indianapolis / Carmel, Indiana.
Oral surgeon jobs with six-figure guarantees and full H-1B backing don’t show up every day. This one comes with a $500,000 first-year guarantee, a $50,000 sign-on bonus, and a shot at the kind of earnings top surgeons at Mortenson Dental Partners are already pulling in — around $850,000 a year on average.
About the Role
Mortenson Dental Partners runs one of the biggest employee-owned dental groups in the country — over 140 practices spread across nine states, more than 1,800 team members, and close to a million patient visits every year. There’s no private equity involved here. Every practice feels like an independent business, but you get the backing, systems, and resources of a much larger company behind you.
You’ll be joining the West 10th Dental Group in Indianapolis as an oral surgeon with real clinical autonomy. Mortenson pays new providers a guaranteed $500,000 in year one while you build your patient base, then moves you onto 40% of net collections after that. Their oral surgeons average $850,000 a year once things are rolling, and you’ll also get a $50,000 sign-on bonus to start.
On top of the paycheck, you become an owner from day one through the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan, with the option to buy in further through direct stock purchases if you want. Every clinical call still runs through an experienced Clinical Committee, so you’re never making big treatment decisions without solid backup.
Mortenson also covers your malpractice insurance and financial planning, throws in $5,000 a year for continuing education, and pairs you with a mentor while you settle in. If you’re carrying dental school debt, their student loan repayment program helps chip away at it, and non-clinical staff handle the administrative side so you can stay focused on patients.
The company builds its culture around four values: caring for everyone, expressing gratitude, sharing abundantly, and building relationships — and that shows up in how they treat both patients and their own team, regardless of background.
