If you’re looking for care work in the UK and want an employer that considers visa sponsorship, this Aberystwyth opportunity is worth checking. Gofal Ystwyth Care is recruiting a Domiciliary Care Worker to provide practical and personal support to people in their own homes. The role offers £13.70 per hour, with expected working hours of 20 to 48 hours per week.

About the Role

You’ll work directly with service users in their homes, helping them stay safe, comfortable and as independent as possible. The work covers everyday personal care as well as practical support, so you’ll need patience, reliability and a respectful approach.

Gofal Ystwyth Care is a domiciliary care provider based in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion. The company provides care across West Wales, supporting adults with needs including personal care, mobility, dementia care, medication support, palliative care and domestic assistance.

This is an in-person role, and a driving licence is preferred because you’ll need to travel between service users’ homes. The employer’s application form accepts several licence categories, including a full UK licence, automatic UK licence, provisional UK licence, other full licence or no licence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including washing, dressing and toileting
  • Support catheter and stoma care where required
  • Assist service users with mobility using approved techniques

  • Report changes in a service user’s condition to the Care Manager
  • Record completed care and home visits accurately
  • Follow health, safety and Social Care Wales requirements

What They’re Looking For

  • Caring and compassionate attitude
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Respectful, person-centred approach
  • Reliable and proactive work style
  • Willingness to travel between clients’ homes
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct

Training & Development

You don’t need to arrive with every care qualification already completed. Gofal Ystwyth Care says it provides ongoing training and professional development, with opportunities to work towards recognised qualifications such as QCF Level 2 and Level 3.

The company’s wider team also receives induction and continuing development support, including training relevant to safeguarding, communication and professional care practice.
