Maintenance Plumber (Visa Sponsorship)
A full-time plumbing role based in Manoora, Cairns, Queensland, with above-award pay and a genuine shot at sponsorship for the right person.
Sick of chasing invoices, working for someone who barely knows your name, or driving your own beat-up ute to every job? A busy plumbing outfit based in Cairns is hiring a Maintenance Plumber, and they’re backing it up with a company vehicle, a fuel card, and a 482 visa for the right person.
About the Role
You’ll be doing maintenance plumbing and gas fitting work across a mix of clients, including aged care facilities and schools around Cairns. It’s varied, hands-on work — you’re not stuck doing the same job on repeat, and you’ll be trusted to deal directly with customers on-site.
The team runs on clear processes, so you’re not left guessing how things get done. There’s a company vehicle and fuel card so you’re not burning your own petrol, a mobile phone and tablet for the job, and proper uniform, PPE, and safety gear supplied from day one.
Pay is above award, and it comes through weekly by EFT — no waiting around for your money. You’ll also get a monthly RDO, leave loading on annual leave, and regular overtime on top of your base wage. Pay gets revisited again after your probation period too.
Because clients include schools and aged care sites, you’ll need flu and Covid-19 vaccinations, a police check, and a Working with Children Card — or be ready to sort these out before you start. Being on an on-call roster is also part of the deal.

Visa & Migrant Requirements
