If you’re a qualified Maths teacher who enjoys helping students overcome learning barriers, this Berlin role gives you a chance to work in an international school while supporting learners from Grades 7 to 12. The full-time maternity cover runs for approximately 1.5 years and includes relocation support for international hires.

About the Role

Berlin Metropolitan School is an international all-day school in central Berlin with more than 1,000 students from over 60 countries. Students can progress from kindergarten through Grade 12, with the school offering international and national curriculum programmes and an internationally recognised diploma.

As a Learning Support Teacher in Maths, you’ll help Secondary students understand mathematical concepts, strengthen weak areas, and build the confidence they need to participate successfully in class. The role covers Grades 7 to 12 and combines individual support, small-group intervention and classroom assistance.

You’ll identify gaps in mathematical understanding and design structured interventions around each student’s needs. That can include adapting explanations, worksheets and classroom tasks, helping students prepare for assessments, and supporting access arrangements for examinations.

You’ll also work closely with Secondary Maths teachers and the Head of Department. The goal is simple: make sure learning support connects directly with classroom teaching, curriculum expectations and each student’s learning profile.
