Altru Health is hiring a Non-Invasive Cardiologist for its brand-new Grand Forks, North Dakota hospital. You’ll run TEEs, echoes, and stress tests, take consult call with interventional backup, and travel to rural clinics monthly. Pay runs $350Kβ$395K, with H-1B cap-exempt sponsorship, a sign-on bonus, relocation help, and full benefits included.
Non-Invasive Cardiologist
Full-time hospital role with Altru Health, based at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
A non-invasive cardiologist role with H-1B sponsorship, a brand-new hospital, and a salary north of $350K doesn’t come along often. Altru Health is building out its cardiac imaging program in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and they need a Non-Invasive Cardiologist who wants real ownership over how that program grows, not just a seat on the team.
About the Role
Altru Health is hiring a Board Eligible or Board Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for its Heart & Vascular team at Altru Hospital, 1200 South Columbia Road, Grand Forks. You’ll join a physician-led group that works side by side with interventional cardiologists, surgeons, and experienced advanced practice providers, so you’re never covering complex cases alone.
The hospital itself opened in January 2025, and it was built with cardiac imaging in mind β so you’re stepping into modern facilities from day one, not working around an aging building. Altru also runs a robust Structural Heart Program, which means plenty of room to grow the service line rather than just maintain it.
Day to day, you’ll read and perform TEEs, echocardiograms, and stress tests for both inpatients and outpatients, and you’ll take inpatient consult call with interventional backup always available. On top of the hospital-based work, you’ll travel out to rural clinics one to three times a month, bringing cardiac care to communities that don’t otherwise have easy access to it.
Documentation runs through Epic EMR with Dragon voice dictation, so charting stays quick and doesn’t eat into your evenings. You’ll also get the chance to teach University of North Dakota medical students, which is a nice option if mentoring the next generation of doctors appeals to you.
Altru Health describes itself as a place where “everything we do is underscored by a why β and that why is one another,” and that shows up in how the organization treats growth, teamwork, and patient care as one connected goal rather than separate boxes to check.
