The advertised role is listed at A$80,000 annually. Visa sponsorship may be available for suitable applicants, but sponsorship is subject to individual eligibility and approval. The position also requires applicants to meet Australian visa, health and character requirements.

Queensland Licensing Requirements
Electrical work in Queensland is regulated, so overseas electricians should check their licensing position before accepting or commencing electrical work. Queensland’s electrical safety regulator states that electrical work generally requires an appropriate electrical work licence.
For applicants whose electrical qualifications were completed outside Australia and New Zealand, Queensland guidance says the qualifications and skills may need to be assessed through the Trades Recognition Australia Offshore Skills Assessment Program. Successful applicants may receive an Offshore Technical Skills Record and then undertake Australian gap training through a registered training organisation before becoming eligible for the relevant licence.
- Appropriate Queensland electrical licensing requirements apply
- Recognised electrical trade qualifications are required
- Overseas-qualified applicants may need a formal skills assessment
- Additional Australian gap training may be required
- Training and licensing requirements can depend on the applicant’s qualifications and circumstances

Your qualifications, licensing position, immigration eligibility and the employer’s approval process will determine whether sponsorship can actually be offered.
Who This Job Suits
This position is designed for an experienced electrician who is ready to take on more responsibility without moving completely away from hands-on electrical work.
It can suit someone who has already coordinated electricians or apprentices and understands how commercial construction sites operate. You’ll need to be comfortable reading project documentation, organizing daily work, communicating with different people on site and dealing with problems before they delay the job.
International electricians should pay particular attention to Queensland’s licensing process. Having an electrical qualification from another country does not automatically mean you can perform unrestricted electrical work in Queensland. Check the licensing pathway that applies to your specific qualification before making relocation plans.
